The story is set in Haiti and explores themes that have preoccupied Caribbean societies for centuries. The beauty of the music, the importance and relevance of its themes and its celebration of Caribbean life and Culture make this musical a must see unique theatrical experience.The play is being co-produced by Caribbean Theatre Network (formerly People’s Action Theatre PAT). It is being directed by veteran Caribbean artist, playwright and director, Alwin Bully; with musical direction by leading Dominican musician and Choral Director, Pearle Christian; and Choreography by acclaimed professional Dancer and Choreographer Sade Bully.The star-studded cast is led by none other than Dominican singing sensation Michele Henderson who is joined by Webster Marie, Marie Pascale Afana, Tasha Peltier, Steve James, Simeon Joseph, Janae Jackson, Danielle Wilson, Beata Vidal, Kareem Bertrand, Trevor Samuel and other members of the Sisserou Singers. This musical which opens at the Arawak House of Culture on Friday July 14th will run for three nights only. No. 9 UWF wins nail-biter, 5-4

May, a true freshman, came back from a 3-6 loss in the first set to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 and keep the Argonauts undefeated Thursday at Valdosta.UWF got off to a strong start, sweeping the doubles competition to lead 3-0. Pengemudi Uber Diamankan Polisi Setelah Tembak Mati Penumpang

Saksi tersebut melaporkan ada seorang pengemudi Uber yang mengatakan saat dalam perjalanan mengantarkan penumpangnya, si pengemudi diserang dan kemudian menembaknya. Sayangnya saat sampai di tempat kejadian, polisi tak sempat menyelamatkan nyawa korban yang tergeletak di lantai kursi penumpang depan mobil sedan tersebut. Dalam dokumen yang dibuat anggota kepolisian, mobil diketahui berhenti dan terparkir lurus searah jalan raya tersebut.Kemudian, polisi menangkap pengemudi bernama Michael Andre Hancock di tempat kejadian tanpa kejelasan yang pasti tentang statusnya. Namun, saat diamankan, Hancock sempat mengalami sesak napas dan dilarikan ke rumah sakit untuk mendapatkan perawatan.Tak hanya mengamankan Hancock, pihak kepolisian juga menemukan 10 selongsong peluru kaliber 40 di bahu jalan dan beberapa tanda peluru di sekitar tempat ditemukannya korban.“Kami sangat terganggu oleh peristiwa di Denver hari ini. Dia adalah pengemudi kontrak yang sudah bekerja sama dengan kami selama tiga tahun. Pikiran kami adalah dengan keluarga mereka yang terlibat, akses mengemudi ke aplikasi pun telah dihapus.
