Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD or DFA inTheatre or a related area (e.g., Communication) and an emphasis inPerformance Studies, or the requirements for the degree completedby the start of employment (August 2021); College-level teachingand a scholarly record in cultural diversity in theatre or inperformance; Experience teaching performance studies at the collegelevel; Demonstrated research productivity through one or morepublished or in press journal articles or book chapters or researchpresentations at national conferences; and experience directing forthe theatre at the college level.  Position Summary: The Department of Theatre and Film invitesapplications for a tenure-track position in Theatre and PerformanceStudies. Starting date is August 2021. The successful candidatewill teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Theatre andPerformance Studies. The successful candidate will adviseundergraduate and graduate (Master’s and doctoral) students,supervise graduate instructors, and teach courses with emphases onrace and diversity in theatre and performance. Contribution to ourproduction program is also expected. Demonstrated researchproductivity leading to peer reviewed publication and presentationsat national conferences is expected, as is advising of graduatestudents.  The successful candidate is expected to contributeservice to the department, college, university, and profession atthe national level.
